Managing Challenging Behaviour Course Comments
Below is recent feedback received from our course participants. Participants were asked what things will they do differently in their job as a result of the training:
Makes it safer for residents and for me.
Protects residents from harm and reduces stress.
I will be able to protect myself and the residents I am working with, I wish I had done this a long time ago.
I feel more confident when working.
Think about how the resident is feeling a lot more.
Think about what else I could do instead of restraint.
Encouraging to understand how affectively and compassionate care in potentially stressful situations this course provides also important to remove the therapeutic attitudes and approaches to out every stage moving forward. I feel a lot more capable and competent in this area.
The training will help me better in my work and also is very good experience for me because it is my first time doing this type of job. I see is very interesting and very helpful and I can stay a long time in this job lots of skills thank you
Even though I work as a hostess I have learnt many methods in dealing with disabilities and difficulties. Iíve got an idea of which the problems are going to be around in the area of my workplace thank you very much.
I got to understand that service users have so much that they lose from their Green behaviour Scale (Primary prevention strategies)
It is my duty to ensure that I understand the service users needs and wants.
It will make me think of challenging behaviours in a different way.
My focus has shifted more from trying to "correct" challenging behaviour to enriching Service Users' lives to reduce the likelihood of behaviour.
