Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
The Restraint Reduction Network (RRN) Training Standards state that the training provider must specify CPD requirements for all trainers who deliver their programmes. CPD ensures that a trainer maintains their knowledge and skills, as well as staying up-to-date to enable them to deliver professional training with awareness of the changing trends and directions.
Although not all NAPPI clients come under the RRN Training Standards, we view CPD as best practice guidance.
CPD Session: 3-Part Demo - available to certified NAPPI trainers at no extra charge
This session will review the benefits of using the 3-Part Demo when teaching physical skills.

CPD Session: Course submissions - available to certified NAPPI trainers (plus training Administrators) at no extra charge
An induction (or reminder) of the resources available within trainer accounts, such as pre-course information sheets and workbooks. Advice will be given on how to submit course information through the NAPPI Trainer Account portal that that will successfully pass audit. This session is open to those who support trainers with course administration tasks, such as downloading workbooks prior to training and certificates that have cleared audit.

CPD online Portfolio
To support trainers to meet their responsibilities under the standards, each trainer has a CPD Portfolio within their trainer account (see link to trainer account). This section will automatically record recertification training, peer assessments and completion of any CPD topics set by NAPPI uk. This meets the minimum CPD requirement and trainers can add additional CPD activity as they wish.
