Pre-requisite skill requirements

When learning a NAPPI physical skill, a participant builds on prior learning.  Initially the Physical SMART Principles considers how the primary prevention strategies (NAPPI Psychological SMART Principles) can be applied to situations that require a physical response.  Participants develop an increased awareness of how they can encourage de-escalation, and remain safe, by planning their approach in physical terms.
