NAPPI PBS Model with Restrictive Practices - Blended Delivery (6 Blocks)
We will shortly be adding more dates for this module/course.If the Training Needs Analysis (TNA) identifies that a presenting Behaviour of Concern is posing a low-level physical risk to employees, then Block 5: Proactive Physical SMART Principles can be added to the curriculum. However, if the TNA identifies that Physical Intervention Skills are essential, then traditional in-person training will be required when deemed safe.
Note: The TNA can be completed online via the NAPPI Organisation Account.
If the Individual Risk Assessment (IRA) identifies a rationale for the use of restrictive physical intervention, advanced levels of NAPPI training can be arranged. In such an event, organisations that are inspected by CQC or access NHS funding will need to adhere to the Restraint Reduction Network (RRN) Training Standards. This would involve accessing additional non-physical content from our RRN approved curriculum.
