Below is recent feedback received from our course participants. Participants were asked what things will they do differently in thier job as a result of the training:
This training has improved my confidence in how to deal with certain situations and will hopefully allow me to work with a wider variety of service users.
It has also allowed me to know my limitations (physical)
The PBS model was extremely informative and useful to now.
It's a very interesting course, how to communicate and react, how to act in different situations. Many new information, very useful, new skills, very interesting.
I have enjoyed the training course very understandable explanation, friendly atmosphere.
More understanding working from the scales. Interacting with residents, more confidence about protecting residents and myself.
Feeling more confident and aware of different situations.
Enjoyed learning this course well done to all.
I want to help achieve more green behaviours into my residents lives. I feel more confident in handling disturbing/disruptive behaviour and the holds learnt, but more so that I feel more understanding to people's feelings. Feel very confident in everything learnt. Fantastic course.
Good information about dangerous situations with residents, helps me to be safe in work.
I am very happy I enjoy this course it is very interesting for me and very helpful for me in my work. Very relevant.
How to look at the residents in a different light and focus on more activities that suit the individual. How to help residents in different ways and holds in difficult situations.
How to help reposition or move residents more effectively so no injuries involved to the resident or staff.
This training was really effective and I have learnt more skills that may be needed.
It has helped me understand more about reasons for an individual to present with challenging behaviour. I am more conscious of how service users may feel daily and on that basis put into practice at the start of my shift primary prevention and avoid getting to the red elements. Feel confident.
The trainer was eloquent and articulate. She made the training session very enjoyable, thus keeping us alert and attentive.
I will use what I have learnt to deliver more quality care service (and deliver services that are appropriate to service users based on their care needs)
