Below is recent feedback received from our course participants. Participants were asked what things will they do differently in thier job as a result of the training:
Good course and has met my expectations will definitely help me have a better understanding of the people that I support.
I have more confidence now to change some entrenched working practices in staff. The coaching process really opened my eyes to a way of working that enables and empowers staff to take responsibility for their own roles.
Coaching will help to alleviate some of the stresses around making decisions, particularly when you dont know the answer yourself by drawing the answer from the coachee themselves.
I will think twice now before telling a staff member what to do or by giving them the answers. I will try and empower them and give them control over their own role.
I will try to praise the people I line manage more often and try to build a partnership with them (power balance)
I feel I have a better understanding of behaviour and how to adapt my teaching and working environment to best meet the needs of the young people I work with.
The behaviour scale was excellent and stay with the practical elements for our workplace.
It will make me think a lot more about how I approach the situation. The physical skills have made me feel like I can protect myself if I had and I have learnt so many things along the way which will enable me to change the situation before I get to that.
It will encourage me and prompt me to make much further use of imagination and child centred approaches to behaviour. It will improve the scope of possibilities for improvement in my practice and a Childs attainment and growth.
