| It was to be a time of speeches and celebration, but the arrival of COVID-19 has changed the world as we know it. However, it means that there has never been a more appropriate time to announce the NAPPI Remote Delivery product.
We all recognise that this is a particularly difficult time for individuals who live with a learning disability, autism or dementia, who may not understand the reasons why their usual routines have changed, or been removed. The removal of coping strategies understandably means that Behaviour of Concern is increasing; therefore, training in primary prevention strategies has never been more important. |

As a solutions provider NAPPI uk has the answer to support the essential training needs for our client-partners and we also welcome new clients to join us. NAPPI Remote Delivery provides access to the Open College Network (London) endorsed NAPPI Positive Behaviour Support Model course, plus our two-day advanced course that meets the pre-requisite for the Restraint Reduction Network (RRN) training standards. Physical skills can later be taught in-person to meet identified needs once social-distancing requirements have been lifted, or when a physical risk is so significant that training is essential. NAPPI also provides a comprehensive portfolio of awareness sessions, plus trainer and coaching programmes.
In January, Helen Tait announced that she was handing over the role of Managing Director to Operations Director Scott Edwards. At the time Helen talked of how the ethos and core values run through the very centre of the company, much as the letters through a stick of sea-side rock – Scarborough rock. Helen pondered on the feature of quality rock, that it doesn’t matter what colour it is or how the rock is packaged as long as the core values run through the centre of every decision. It is a perfect time for Scott to have taken on his role, supported by Helen as Director of Quality and Andy Skinner as Director of Education. The team is ready for the next 25 years, with the same level of enthusiasm and excitement as we did for the last.
