Chris Mileham collected his 1st year NAPPI tee-shirt, the very week after he became a NAPPI Positive Behaviour Support Coach. Chris, who works for Swanton Care and Support, completed his BTEC Coaching Award with a group of 12 Swanton Care employees. This makes Chris the 1st person to be both a NAPPI trainer and a PBS Coach. His tee-shirt was presented by Scott Edwards, director of NAPPI.

Tony Vallis from Cartref Homes was presented with two awards at a presentation dinner in Scarborough. The first was a certificate to mark 15 years of working in partnership with NAPPI UK. The second was a tankard to acknowledge 5 years as a certified NAPPI on-site trainer. Tony first attended a NAPPI training course delivered at Cartref in Hastings in 1998. A 2-day leadership and management training event which was planned, organised and delivered by Heathcotes Learning, in partnership NAPPI UK took place on 16 and 17 May at Scalford Hall in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. Titled 'Going for Gold', the aims of the event were to ensure consistent application of NAPPI as a philosophy and skill set across the organisation, and foster "esprit de corps" among Heathcotes managers; reinforcing common goals and vision. Heathcotes Group is a NAPPI Centre of Excellence and we have worked hard to encourage a high standard of support and accompanying ethos among our staff. Our record of restraint reduction and working with service users to achieve positive life outcomes bears testament to this.

Barchester Healthcare - Centre of Excellence

NAPPI UK has a long-term working relationship with Barchester Healthcare. This relationship was initially with the learning disability services but this changed in 2012 when Barchester adopted the NAPPI model of managing challenging behaviour training for their dementia services.
