Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS)

What is it?

PTLLS is a 6-credit award designed to provide an initial qualification for trainers (and teachers) working in the lifelong learning sector.

By 2010, it will be mandatory for anyone who delivers training to adults involving public funds. Therefore, this qualification is very relevant for those responsible for staff development who do not hold a current teaching qualification.

Who is it for?

The PTLLS Award is offered at both Level 3 and Level 4

• Level 3 assessments involve description, explanation and some evaluation
• Level 4 assessments are more theoretical and involve discussion, critical analysis and reflection

How can we help?

NAPPI uk Ltd delivers 30 hours of face-to-face for groups of 6 - 10, direct at your organisation
Candidates will complete a 15 minute micro teaching session and 45 minutes of observation of other trainers
An additional 30 hours of directed study will be assessed though completion of a portfolio
