Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS)
PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) qualification is appropriate for those teaching, coaching or assessing adults in the workplace. PTLLS is an introductory course which provides a threshold status to teach and is a recognised teaching qualification taken by all teachers in a full or associated role.
Delivery
Many of our candidates find it difficult to attend college during the day or evenings. We understand the time pressure and the demands of delivering training within the work setting as all NAPPI tutors/assessors have relevant occupational competence with the health and social care sector. NAPPI has developed a comprehensive support system to enable candidates to work at their own pace through a blended system of tutorials, assignments and observed micro-teach sessions.
Entry Requirements
No specific entry requirements for the PTLLS qualification; however: candidates need to be self motivated to read and research to complete assignments. Candidates should have a good standard of written and verbal communications skills. The ability to video a 15 minute micro-teach sessions and access to the internet is also essential.
